Hidden costs to plan for
- Engineering review or inspection fee.
- Alignment (may require a shop equipped for solid axles).
- Driveshaft balancing and rebuild.
- Proportioning valve or brake-line rework.
- Insurance re-rating.
- Downtime cost — a work vehicle off the road has a real business cost.
- Contingency (10–20% minimum).
