Burned Blower Motor Resistor Connector on Chevrolet Astro & GMC Safari: Diagnosis and Repair
Heat-damaged blower resistor pigtail behind the coolant reservoir — identify, diagnose, and repair without repeating the failure.
A discolored, melted, or charred connector at the front blower motor resistor is a high-current heat failure. Symptoms include one or more blower speeds inoperative, intermittent operation, blower changes when wiring is moved, a hot-electrical smell, or repeated resistor/connector failure. Confirm the connector, resistor, and blower motor condition together — replacing only the melted plug hides an over-current blower motor or a failed resistor and the new connector will burn again.

Combustion Gas Test (Hydrocarbons in Coolant)
Confirms a head gasket or cracked head when nothing else adds up.
A chemical block tester changes color in the presence of exhaust gases in the coolant, confirming a head gasket, cracked head, or bad intake gasket sealing to a coolant port.

AWD Astro Lift Problems: Why Your Van Handles Poorly After a Suspension Lift
Diagnose poor handling, harsh ride, wandering and CV binding after lifting a 1990–2005 AWD Astro or Safari.
After a nominal 3" lift, the van sits low or uneven at the front, rides harshly or floats, wanders, clunks, vibrates, or shows CV boot distortion. Heater/HVAC blower does not operate on any fan speed. Power appears at the blower relay, and the blower motor spins normally when supplied direct battery power — so the motor itself is almost certainly good and the fault is upstream in the control, feed, resistor, relay, connector, ground, ignition-feed, or wiring circuit.
